Beginning March 4, the Tri-City Tappers will be offering Sunday afternoon classes. Stay tuned for more information on classes and times!

New Introductory Class begins Monday, February 27th at 10:45 am!

With classes for beginning through advanced dancers, there's something for everyone--and no previous dance experience is necessary. You'll find fellowship, a fantastic workout ... and feathers!

Class Schedule

Mondays:

  • 10:45 AM - Beginning/Introductory Class for people with little or no experience in tap
  • 12: 00 noon - Beginner II Class

Tuesdays:

  • 11:30 AM - Intermediate to Advanced Dancers
  • 1:10 PM - For people with some tap before, at Beginner 2 or Intermediate 1 levels

Fridays:

  • 11:30 AM - Intermediate to Advanced Dancers
  • 1:10 PM - BEGINNER II for people with some experience in tap

Dance Class Pricing

Group Class Rates

  • One class per week (4 week month) - $48 per month
  • One class per week (5 week month) - $60 per month

Single Class Rate

  • $14 per class

Private Class Rate

  • (30 minutes) You may share a Private Class with another dancer at this rate - $30 per class

Terms and Conditions

  • Payments must be made in advance at the first class of the month. A $10 late fee will be added for those past due over a week.
  • Make checks payable to Tri-City Tappers.
  • Make-up classes: There is no refund for missing a class; however, you can make up your missed day in another Group Class in which you are not enrolled. Beginners may do so when they are technically able. If you know ahead of time that you will miss a week, you may pay for the rest of the month at the Single Class rate.

Dance Wear: For your convenience, I carry a few items that you need for dancing.

  • SUPPORT DANCE TIGHTS: 13% Lycra in Black or Beige
  • SUPPORT DANCE TIGHTS: Black Mesh Tights (Fishnets)
  • SUPER TAPS
  • SKORTS

Shoes and almost anything else can be purchased at The Dance Boutique (same location as our Studio)

There is a $10.00 fee to purchase an instructional video tape or DVD of the dance we are currently working on. The written instructional information is FREE and provided as part of the Class. A CD of the dance music with two speeds is $5.00

Dance Class Overview

  • Classes are 60 minutes long for beginners.
  • Please try to be on time for class.
  • The upper body warm-up is very important to get your body and mind stimulated (not to mention it is good exercise).
  • The foot exercises at the barre are to work on the strength of your feet and improve the quality of your sound.
  • Please, no gum chewing allowed.
  • Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne (we all need to breathe).
  • In order to remember dances already learned, we will review them at the end of each class.
  • You may wear whatever makes you comfortable.
  • Loaner tap shoes are available at each class.

Performance Overview

  • Performing is optional
  • Look for Upcoming Performance on the website or in the monthly Newsletter.
  • The time listed is actual Show Time. Please arrive at least one-half hour before that time.
  • Never wear your costume to an event. A dressing area will be provided.
  • Bring a cover-up in case you want to watch some of the show.
  • You do not have to be in every performance.
